September News #2
Fall Favorites
I love this season with the changing colors, crisp air, and clear blue sky! My husband gave me a new light-weight blower, and now you'll often find me outside blowing the leaves off the front walk and driveway. It's a great mental break and good exercise! What do you enjoy about the Fall?

Besides blowing leaves . . . I've been busy with the release of my new dual-time novel, A Token of Love. It's been exciting to read the positive reviews coming in so far!
Here's what readers are saying: "This is your best book yet!" "I couldn't put it down." "I don't usually enjoy dual-time stories, but this one really grabbed me. Both plots wove together like a beautiful tapestry." "What a beautiful and heart-tugging dual time story, and it's based on real events!" "This was my first time reading a book by Carrie Turansky, but I definitely want to read all of her books now. A Token of Love was truly an amazing story, and it is without a doubt one of my favorite books I’ve read this year."
Reviews are so important and help other readers decide if they might enjoy the story. When you write your review, consider sharing it in several places: BookBub, Amazon, GoodReads, Facebook, Instagram, and Barnes& Noble. If you listen to the audiobook, please leave your review there too! Thank you for your review! That's a great way to say thank you for a story you enjoyed!

Legacy of Longdale Manor Wins The Carol Award
|
|
|
September 7 was an exciting night! The American Christian Fiction Writers Conference ends with their award gala. My English dual-time novel, The Legacy of Longdale Manor was one of three finalists in the historical romance category. I sat with dear author friends, including two other finalists in other categories, and waited until after dinner to hear them announce Legacy was the winner! I was so surprised I could hardly catch my breath to give my acceptance speech. Somehow I made it through and took home this lovely award that has boosted my spirit and motivates me to keep writing. Have you read The Legacy of Longdale Manor? It has more than 160 great reviews on Amazon with a 4.5 Star Rating. Follow this link to learn more and find links to order your copy. Pictured below, Carrie and Donna Yarborough, Cynthia Ruchti and Carrie, Carrie and Kate Angelo. Below that, you'll see three of the award winning books.

Pumpkin Muffins Servings: 8 Ingredients ¾ cup pumpkin puree ¼ cup coconut sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 ½ cups almond flour 1 tsp baking soda ⅛ tsp sea salt ½ tsp cinnamon 1 ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice ¼ cup chocolate chips (optional - I use Lily's chocolate chips that are stevia sweetened.)
Directions Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 8 cups of a muffin pan of line with paper muffin liners. (I use my mini muffin pan which makes several more.)Combine all ingredients in a large bowl; stir to mix well. Divide batter between the 8 prepared muffin cups. Bake for 15-25 minutes, until the tops are firm and a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean. |

Calm in a Busy Season
Where do you go when you feel rushed and overwhelmed? I take walks around the lake near our home, spend time journaling, and talk to friends. Most of all, I try to take my worries to the Lord in prayer and ask for His truth, wisdom, and peace. He always meets me there and comforts my heart. I hope you'll talk to Him in the midst of your busy days.
